The course is solely online making easily accessible around busy schedules in the workplace. Please see below what is covered in this course;

  • Basic thermal modelling principles such as SAP, SBEM and dynamic simulation modelling (DSM)
  • The meaning and importance of net zero carbon and how it applies to construction
  • Current regulations, and how those regulations are expected to evolve over time
  • Understanding and calculating U-values
  • Insulation and weatherproofing of roofs, floors, and basements
  • Windows and glazing options for retaining heat and daylighting
  • Condensation and managing moisture in buildings
  • Mechanical and electrical facilities management (M&E)
  • Water heating
  • Ventilation and the importance of indoor air quality (IAQ)
  • Business and consultancy skills
